       We all owe it all to doctors. They give so much of their time and effort to help us healthy and live long lives. But without proper communication, doctors, or any other profession, couldn't do the best job possible to help everyone live better lives. The following is a list of the jargon words used and their meanings:
  1. Anuric-a patient that doesn't produce urine and could require dialysis
  2. Bibasilar-at the bases of both lungs
  3. ACL-anterior cruciate ligament
  4. C&S-culture and sensitivity. (used to detect infection)
  5. COPD-chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
  6. CVA-Cerebrovascular accident. (stroke)
  7. D/C-discontinue or discharge
  8. DDX-differential diagnosis. (multiple diagnostic possibilities being considered)
  9. DNR-do not resuscitate (revive)
  10. DOE-dyspnea on exertion (shortness of breath after activity)
  11. DTR-deep tendon reflexes
  12. DVT-deep venous thrombosis (blood clot in large vein)
  13. I&D-insicion and drainage
  14. MCL-medial collateral ligament
  15. PCL-posterior cruciate ligament
